Very special evening of exploratory melodic avant jazz: Eli Winter & Mike Baggetta (Altar Eagle opening) November 13

 Tickets

$15

Been excitedly waiting to share this concert coming up in November. We have some legendary musicians coming in to town from Chicago and the east coast on Nov. 13. Eli Winter put out one of my favorite records last year and we have Tulsa’s own Altar Eagle opening the night. Gonna drop some info on the artists below..

Mike Baggetta is a guitarist and composer blending avant-garde jazz, ambient soundscapes, and Americana into a style all his own which has caught the attention of major music outlets like The New York Times, Rolling Stone, and The Wire. Over the years, Baggetta has led his own groups including the legendary power trio mssv and worked alongside sone of my favorite musicians.. Mike Watt, famed session drummer Jim Keltner, J Mascis (Dinisaur Jr) and Nels Cline.. the list goes on

Eli Winter is a self-taught, Chicago-based guitarist and composer who mixes folk, jazz, rock a little American primitive. His music has earned praise from major publications, including a standout feature on NPR, an “Album of the Week” spot on Stereogum, and high marks from Pitchfork. Winter frequently collaborates across different genres, having recorded and performed with late jazz pioneer Jaimie Branch, indie-folk musician and bro dawg Ryley Walker, avant-garde veteran David Grubbs, and acoustic innovator Yasmin Williams.

This show is gonna be really special, we’re lucky to get artists like this willing to drop through Tulsa so I hope to see lots of folks out for this one.
